Wanting What YOU Have
If you don’t get everything you want, think of the things you don’t get that you don’t want. ~Oscar Wilde
Right now, you might not have the winning lottery ticket in your hand. You might not have a private jet. Maybe you do not have vacation homes in all of your favorite location. Or maybe you do not have the most recent trend setting technological device.
I am willing to jump out there and say you probably do not have the plague.
To be upset over what you don’t have is to waste what you do have. ~Ken S. Keyes, Jr., Handbook to Higher Consciousness
There are plenty of things that you do have! For example you are able to read this message or hear someone read it to you. The fact that you either have access to a computer to receive this as an email or as a blog posting or as some other type of message, that alone means you have more than many people.
Or to put it another way and to quote a song (‘Soak up the Sun’) by Sheryl Crow “It’s not having what you want; it’s wanting what you have.”
Don’t let what you do not have over shadow your appreciation of what you do have.
